The Polo coat is named for its popularity among English polo players, who would warm up in the garment between matches. Ralph Lauren’s version maintains iconic details such as the double-breasted silhouette and belted back, while elevating it with expert Italian craftsmanship. To create its Glen plaid fabric, Irish wool yarn is spun, dyed and custom-woven by Ireland’s Magee 1866 mill, which has been a Ralph Lauren partner for more than 50 years.

Details- Tailored: a trim fit through the chest and waist.
- Size 40R has a 117.5 cm front body length, a 116.8 cm back body length, a 48.9 cm shoulder and a 91.4 cm sleeve length. Sleeve length is taken from the centre back of the neck and changes 1.3 cm between sizes.
- Peaked lapels. Double-breasted silhouette.
- Long sleeves with stitched-down gauntlet cuffs.
- Left chest flapped pocket. Two front waist flapped pockets. Two interior chest pockets.
- Single vent. Belted back.
- Shell and undercollar: 100% wool. Body lining: 51% cotton, 49% viscose. Sleeve lining: 100% viscose.
