The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing" Coupé features an innovative, iconic design, with doors that open upwards like a bird taking flight. Introduced in 1952, it was the fastest production car of its day, with a top speed of 161 mph. The first car to feature direct fuel injection, it took the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1952. The Gullwing's elegance was matched only by that of its owners, from Sophia Loren to Zsa Zsa Gabor. Every detail of Mr. Lauren's personal vehicle has undergone a detailed scan to produce this exact 1:18 scale replica, which is hand-constructed by the British company Amalgam.
